I still have J Crew things from 10 years ago that look great, keep me warm, and can be made funky with good accessorizing.

What happened to their well-cut classic clothes? Stuff that was made really well out of quality materials?

mom November 19, 2007 at 12:37 pm: I actually kinda like it, and I love their shoes and coats — oooh, that bright yellow, but DAMN they are EXPENSIVE. And not pricy because they are so beautifully made. They are pricey because they have fairly successful lifestyle branding and if we want to be one of those happy prep school boy built blushing girls roaming the country side with our 17 year old McDreamies, well, the clothes just look even better. Stinkers.
