The Poo received a digital camera for Christmas, one made just for kids by Vtech. It is fascinating to see the world from her perspective.
Here is Christmas, as seen by one just-turned-three-year-old:
If you’ve got time to kill, you can see the whole set here.

Eerily similar to my kids’ photos (they also received digital cameras). Although no pix of garbage or toilets. I have yet to upload my kinder’s photos since they each took over 200 pictures in the space of 5 days.
I like the Poo’s pictures. Very artistic.
i love these. they’re arty. she has an eye, i think.
and i imagine she’ll love to look at them when she is older and cannot any more imagine herself at three.
happy New Year to you and yours, friend.
i LOVE the self portrait…she cracks me up
aw – love these
I’ve been eyeballing that little camera already, even though we’re years away from it!
ooops – and happy new year!
From any angle, I’m glad 2007 held the latch to this magical window into your life for me. Happiest of new years, dear friend.
Excellent stuff
You do realise you’ll never be able to walk round half naked again, or bend over again – with the papparazzi lurking around the house
she’s very good. very nice use of light.
Oh Poo – you’re a natural!
Those are great!
I love that! It is fascinating how she sees things through a lens.
love! it’s amazing to see what a three-year-old sees!
Wish I’d been the one to think of making a kid-friendly camera. I’m off to look at the rest.
Love it.
She is good!
I have to say, those are pretty good. For the longest time, the only shots captured with my daughter’s digital were of book shelves and the corners of some toy.
Is there a child alive who didn’t get a digital camera for Christmas? I loved the Poo’s pics. Elliot got a camera too and some of her stuff turned out pretty cool. And even cooler is that I now don’t have to worry about her breaking my camera.
Just goes to show you that three year olds don’t give a lick about looking people in the eye. So funny how many shots are from nose and down. Love that your raising a photographer. One can never start too early.
Those look just like the pictures that my 4 year old took with his digital cameras!
This is a wonderful photo essay! I spent hours in art school watching people try to create this type of thing (and failing). Little did they know they just needed to be a tot!
