Soon after, the D&D special delivery person or the buyer’s personal chef will pass fourteen homeless people and twenty economically/physically-fragile people as he/she makes way to the double-parked vehicle waiting just around the corner from the Prince Street entrance.

I *get* why certain foods cost so much, and I want farmers well-rewarded for the care that they put into their produce. Certain foods are special.

But it’s hard to process how deep the gap grows between the have’s and the have not’s.

So, wine should be as cheap as grape juice? Cars should just cost as much as the metal and plastic? Fine cheeses should just cost the price of milk?

These are a particular breed of pigs in a particular area eating a particular diet. They are then processed in a very particular way, aging 36 months. There’s approximately 1 importer of them to the US.

Get with the program. You and I are never going to buy one, but those who do will acknowledge the real cost of production and enjoy it for what it is.
