Month 17

by Mrs. Chicken on January 7, 2010

Boy

He is so perfect right now, sweet and ripe like a berry on the vine. I want to pluck him and stash him in my freezer, to preserve his freshness just as he is today. My Babyman, at month 17.

You can just see the slightest hint of man emerging. It’s bittersweet, isn’t it?

He certainly has lost that baby look, hasn’t he? All of a sudden, he looks like a little boy. My Gracie went and did that to me too. Sniff, sniff.

He is SO beautiful Amy!!!

You (and quite possibly the Poo) are going to have to arm yourselves with industrial-strength baseball bats to fend off all the girls in about 13 years!

Oh, I so remember that mama feeling, right about when my kids were that age!

Have you heard of the punk-pop Swedish band Love Is All? They have a song that starts with this line: “I keep the one I love in the freezer.” It makes me smile every time.

Not really much to say other than great photo. You can sense his personality in his face.

Awww, what a precious photo. And hey, no worries about the additional birthdays. It’s better than the alternative, right? :)

Oh my goodness! I’ve been taking a bloggy break for the past few months, so haven’t seen him in a while – what a difference! He has the same sweet face, but so grown up!

The cuteness is simply ridiculous. And those eyelashes? Should be illegal. Geez, what I would pay for those lashes.

He looks SO GROWNUP!! What a beautiful big boy!

Amy, congrats on your front-page-of-AOL-link to your ParentDish story on the dad forced to destroy his kids’ snow fort. I was websurfing, got to that article, and immensely enjoyed a “HEY, I KNOW HER!!” moment. :)

I’m with you. The announcement of boy at the 18-week ultrasound frightened me. … Shouldn’t have been worried in the least. Boys rock the house.
